On the orders of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, 600 administrative staff operated 60 bulldozers to free the land from encroachment. This is considered to be the biggest action taken so far against mafias in the state.

According to the information, land mafias have captured 900 bighas of forest land in Kamalpur and Dedla villages of Chachoda, Guna. After receiving the complaint from the officials, they made preparations to remove the encroachment. This operation was carried out with the help of 60 bulldozers and 600 soldiers.

Encroachment removed from forests

As soon as 60 bulldozers started removing encroachment from the forest land, the mafia protested. But due to the strict action taken by the administration, the encroachers were demoralized. The forest department and police freed 900 bighas of land from the clutches of the mafia by conducting a joint operation with bulldozers.

Mafia carried out a deadly attack in 2016

In the year 2016, the Forest Department team had tried to remove encroachment in Dedla village, but then the mafia had carried out a deadly attack on the personnel. This time the administration entered the field with full preparation. 600 personnel of police and forest department together carried out the entire operation. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was very active in this process. A joint team of forest department and police was deployed to carry out this major operation. Crime DFO Akshay Rathod said, “This is the biggest operation ever against the mafia with 60 bulldozers.”
