Mahakumbh Mela 2025: The bathing of faith-filled saints, devotees, Kalpavasis, bathers and householders at the holy confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati has created a new record. In just six days between January 11 and 16, more than seven crore people have taken a dip of faith at Sangam and other ghats. It is estimated that this time more than 45 crore people will take a dip of faith in Mahakumbh.
About 45 lakh people took bath on 11 January and 65 lakh people took bath on 12 January. In this way, two days before Mahakumbh, a record number of more than one crore people took bath. On the first day of Mahakumbh, 1.70 crore people took bath on Paush Purnima bathing festival and created a record. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti Amrit Snan, 3.50 crore people took a dip in the Sangam. In this way, in the first two days of Mahakumbh, more than 5.20 crore people took a dip of faith.
Apart from this, on January 15, on the third day of Mahakumbh, 40 lakh people took bath. Even on Thursday, more than 30 lakh people took bath in the Sangam and attained virtuous results. Apart from bathing, devotees from Prayagraj are also reaching Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Varanasi, Maa Vindhyavasini Dham, Naimisharanya, Ayodhya. Reaching these areas is also giving a great boost to local employment. On 13, 14 and 15 January, reached Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Varanasi, Maa Vindhyavasini Dham, Naimisharanya and Ayodhya for darshan and worship. In three days, about 10 lakh devotees visited Ayodhya, 7.41 lakh at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, 5 lakh at Vindhyavasini Dham and more than one lakh at Naimisharanya Dham.
Giving the message of unity in Mahakumbh
This Mahakumbh is giving a great message of unity, harmony and humanity to the entire world. There is no restriction of caste, religion and untouchability. Apart from this, in the stores running in the food sector, both rich and poor get food offerings in the same queue. There is no caste-religion difference.
Economy along with faith
Along with faith, Mahakumbh is also strengthening the economy of the state and the country. Religious tourism has also been promoted. Devotees and tourists from other states and abroad coming for Mahakumbh are also going to Ayodhya, Varanasi, Naimisharanya, Chitrakoot, Vindhyachal and Mathura. Tour and travels, hotel and restaurant sectors along with railways and transport corporations are also benefiting from this. 5 lakh devotees visited Vindhyavasini Dham and more than one lakh devotees visited Naimisharanya Dham. The flood of devotees reaching Ayodhya from Prayagraj is continuously pouring into Ramnagari. The entire city has become filled with the faith of the devotees who reached Ayodhya with the slogan of Jai Shri Ram. On the orders of CM Yogi Adityanath, the district administration is making all arrangements for the pilgrims. More than 10 lakh devotees have reached Ayodhya in three days.
