Tea lovers would prefer to replace the ‘apple’ with their cup of ‘chai’ in the popular saying “Apple a day keeps a doctor away”. They would consider tea mandatory to start their day, similar to how coffee-takers crave a sip of caffeine every morning. But what if your ingredients for tea or coffee have exhausted and you only realise it at the nth minute? We understand that you would be upset with the situation and either rush to work without your drink or order things through instant delivery services.

YouTuber Ishan Sharma recently shared a post on X about ordering some jaggery on Zomato, which wasn’t delivered. Sharma mentioned that he asked for jaggery from the delivery platform but it failed to serve that to him, making his tea incomplete.

The chai-jaggery story

He reached out to a customer service executive and wrote, “I can’t have this chai now. What to do? I can’t without jaggery”.

The Zomato staff replied by saying, “I request you to have the chai…I know how it feels in the morning and without tea it makes us feel lost”.

Zomato stated that it would refund him the charges of the jaggery which they were not able to provide him. A staff named Imran spoke to Sharma and wrote that the delivery app could facilitate him with a refund of the undelivered item.

“I know how it feels…”

Apart from the professional talk and resolution offered during the chat, Imran tried giving the talk a heartfelt touch. He urged the customer to drink the tea without the jaggery for once.

Considering how dull the start of the day would be without a routine and much-loved sip of tea, he requested Sharma to not worry about the jaggery and drink the chai without the sweetener.

In his reply, he wrote, “I know how it feels in the morning”. “Without tea it makes us feel lost”, he added.

Sharma felt touched by how the Zomato customer executive cared for him and didn’t want his day to go unproductive without some tea. “Zomato got pookie chat support”, he wrote while sharing a screenshot of the chat on X.
