BCCI’s new rule list: After the clean sweep in the Test series against New Zealand and the embarrassing defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has started adopting a tough stance against the Indian players. , The Indian Board has taken this defeat seriously and has made strict rules for the players.

 

 

BCCI has made it clear that any player or staff who does not follow these rules will be given strict punishment. BCCI has made it mandatory to play domestic cricket. Selection in the team will be based on performance in domestic cricket. For this, the Indian Board has made a total of 10 rules.

1) Must play domestic cricket

According to BCCI rules, Indian players will definitely have to play domestic cricket. The players in the Indian team will also be selected on this basis. BCCI wants that through this campaign good relationships should be formed between senior and junior players so that the atmosphere of the team and cricket remains good. If a player does not want to play domestic cricket for any reason, he will have to inform BCCI and take permission from the Chairman of the Selection Committee. Along with playing domestic cricket, players also have to maintain their fitness.

 

2) Can’t travel with family

Every player must travel with the team. This means that players will not be able to travel with their families. Strict punishment will be given for violating this rule. If he has to travel with his family or separately, he will have to take permission from the Chairman of the Selection Committee.

3) Player cannot carry extra items

No player may carry extra luggage during the journey. If your luggage weighs more then you will have to pay for it yourself. BCCI has also announced separate guidelines for weight and accessories.

• Baggage Policy

Long trip (more than 30 days):

Player- 3 suitcases and 2 kit bags weighing up to 150 kg.

Support Staff – 2 bags and 1 small suitcase up to 80 kg.

Short trip (less than 30 days):

Player – 2 suitcases and 2 kit bags, weighing up to 120 kg.

Support Staff – 2 suitcases weighing up to 60 kg.

Support Staff – 2 suitcases weighing up to 60 kg.

4) Send the goods separately to Center of Excellence Bengaluru

Each player will have to contact the team management to send luggage or personal effects to the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. If an item is shipped in a different manner, additional costs will be borne by the player.

5) Restrictions on staff in any tour or series

Individual employees (such as personal managers, chefs, assistants and security) will be prohibited from participating in any tour or series. Unless BCCI’s approval is taken for this.

6) Must be present during practice sessions

BCCI has also made a strict rule that now every player will have to be present during the practice session. No player can leave the practice session early. During a series or tournament you have to travel with the team from one place to another. The Indian Board has made this rule to increase interaction among the players.

7) No player can advertise

Players will no longer be allowed to do individual shooting during the series and various tours. During this period no player can advertise. The board has taken this decision so that the players’ attention does not go anywhere else.

8) Don’t spend too much time with your family while traveling abroad

If a player is on a foreign tour for 45 days, his wife and child below 18 years of age can stay with him for up to two weeks during the series. Meanwhile, BCCI will bear the expenses of his investment but the remaining expenses will have to be borne by the player.

 

On the other hand, any player (relative or otherwise) can reach the deadline only after discussion with the coach and captain. Meanwhile, if any player breaks the rules then the coach, captain and GM operations will be responsible. Apart from this, after the completion of the time limit, the player will also have to bear its expenses.

9) Will have to participate in official shooting and functions

Whenever there is any official shooting, promotion or any other program of BCCI, every player has to participate in it. This decision has been taken to promote the sport and benefit the stakeholders.

10) Players cannot return home quickly after the series is over

Every player will have to stay with the team till the end of the tour. Even if the series ends early, the player has to stay with the team. Each player will return with the team on the scheduled date. During this period no player can go home early. This decision has been taken in the interest of team bonding.
