US Secretary Of State Antony Blinken Heckled At Press Briefing Over Handling Of Israel-Hamas Conflict In Gaza | X

Washington DC: Outgoing US Secretary of State Antony Blinken faced criticism over the handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict by the Joe Biden administration. Two journalists erupted Blinken’s last press briefing. One of them called Blinken a ‘criminal”. Meanwhile, the other journalist accused the outgoing US Secretary of State of allowing “Genocide” in Gaza.

“Why did you keep your bombs flowing while you had a deal in May? We all knew we had a deal. Everyone in this room knows you had a deal. Why did you sacrifice the rules-based order on the mantle of your commitment to Zionism? Why did you allow my friends to be massacred?” The Grayzone’s Max Blumenthal said. He was to leave the room by officials.

“Your father-in-law was an Israel lobbyist, your grandfather is an Israel lobbyist. Are you compromised by Israel? How does it feel to have your legacy as genocide,” the journalist asked as he was taken out,” before being taken out of the room where the press briefing was taking place.

Meanwhile, Dam Husseini, The Independent journalist, was even dragged out of the room for criticising Blinken. “You pontificate about a free press!” Husseini said. “I am asking questions after being told by [spokesman] Matt Miller that he will not answer my questions,” he added.

Notably, security personnel forcefully dragged him out of the room.. When Husseini was being dragged, he called Blinken “criminal”.

“Criminal! Why aren’t you in the Hague! Why aren’t you in the Hague! Why aren’t you in the Hague!” he shouted. However, Blinken continued his address. Notably, the International Court of Justice is located in The Hague.

Meanwhile, Isarel and militantr groulp Hamas reached a ceasefire agreement. The announcement in this regard was made by Isareli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. As part of this agreement, both sides will relase hostages.

The agreement, announced by mediators — Qatar, the US, and Egypt — on Wednesday, will lead to the phased release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, and also see a pause in fighting in Gaza.
