Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A preliminary presentation on the feasibility survey for the flyovers proposed to be built at Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) corridor and the proposed cable car project was given at the AICTSL (Atal Indore City Transport Services Limited) office here on Thursday. Representatives from the respective companies showcased the progress made in the surveys so far.
Collector Asheesh Singh, municipal commissioner Shivam Verma, CEO of IDA RP Ahirwar, and Smart City Indore CEO Divyank Singh attended the presentation. The session focused on assessing the current progress of feasibility studies and discussing potential advancements for both projects.
The BRTS corridor survey aims to enhance urban mobility by identifying areas for improved efficiency and expansion for development of the flyovers along the corridor, while the cable car project is seen as an innovative solution to reduce traffic congestion and promote eco-friendly transport options in the city. Officials provided valuable feedback during the meeting, emphasising the importance of sustainable and efficient urban transport systems.
The collaborative effort between various departments aimed to ensure that Indore remained a leader in smart city initiatives, blending modern infrastructure with innovative transit solutions, said IDA officials. Further discussions and detailed studies are likely to follow, which will shape the final proposals for implementation.
