UP Basic Education Director has issued a letter declaring holidays in schools on 16th and 17th January. The letter said that Basic Education Council schools and recognized schools up to class eight will remain closed till Friday. Now the District Magistrate will follow this order.
Schools closed in Ghaziabad also
Ghaziabad District Magistrate Inder Vikram Singh has issued a notice of closure of schools for students of classes 1 to 8 due to the cold wave. Schools will remain closed till January 18 for students of all boards affiliated to CBSE, ICSCE and UP Board. However, employees of educational institutions will come to school.
