Saif Ali Khan Attack: Bhopal Deeply Saddened After Attack On Actor; ‘Nawab Pataudi’ Owns Property Worth Over ₹1K Crores In City |

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Mumbai has left the people of Bhopal deeply saddened. They are now praying for his speedy recovery and well-being.

Fortunately, the actor is out of danger after undergoing a surgery at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. He was stabbed by a robber in a burglary attempt at his Bandra residence.

Saif sustained multiple injuries after being attacked with a sharp object around 2:30 am.

Saif Bhopal’s ‘Chote Nawab’

Saif, who belongs to the Pataudi family, is often referred to as the ‘Chote Nawab of Bhopal’ or ‘Nawab Pataudi.’

The Pataudi family has significant historical and emotional ties with Bhopal. Saif Ali Khan is said to own property worth over ₹1,000 crores in the city, including city’s heritage Jehan Numa Palace Hotel.

Saif’s father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi became the captain of the Indian cricket team at the age of 21. Later, he served as the caretaker of the Bhopal estate after the passing of his mother, Sajida Sultan.

Mansoor Ali Khan’s aunt, Abida Sultan, was a princess of Bhopal. His maternal grandfather Hamidullah Khan was the last ruling Nawab of Bhopal.

The family owns vast properties in Bhopal and neighboring district Raisen, which is valued at several hundred crores. However, a legal dispute is ongoing regarding the properties. 

Bhopal stays united to pray for Saif

Saif Ali Khan’s elder sister Saba Ali Khan manages the Auqaf-e-Shahi Trust, a royal trust responsible for assets worth around ₹2,000 crores. She often visits Bhopal to oversee legal and property matters, as the chief trustee. 

The Pataudi family’s legacy is believed to be the pride and significant history for the people of Bhopal, who hold Saif Ali Khan and his family in high regard. The troubling news has united the city to pray for his well-being.
