Hindenburg Research has again raised allegations in connection with the Adani Group | FPJ

Hindenburg Research, through its founder Nathan Anderson’s personal note on the company website announced that the US-based short selling group has decided to disband and wind up its operations.

The group shared this news on January 16. The group, according to some, is single-handedly responsible for wiping out Adani Group’s USD 100 billion when it accused the conglomerate of malpractices.

At the equity markets, the Adani shares reacted to this news with cheers, and the shares traded in green with major gains.

One X user by the name Trendmyfriend, used an old Hindi saying to express their thoughts. They said, Hindenburg Research promoter said that they are shutting down. “ Naa Rahega Baans Naa Bajegi Bansuri”

ANI editor Smita Prakash who has previously spoken against the group and its activism also shared her thoughts. She said, “‘Hindenburg Research, whose reports wiped billions off Gautam Adani’s wealth, shuts down’. Some people in India will be might sad this morning.”

An anonymous X user with the name Geiger Capital said, “Wow.

Hindenburg Research, the legendary short-selling firm, has decided to close up shop.

Other X users used the opportunity to the best of their abilities to make the most of it, with their collection of memes.

Some users attributed this decision to the incoming Trump administration in the US and one of them said, “Good news: Hindenburg research firm that accused Adani of fraud has announced it is shutting down. Though there is no proof of a direct link, sources say that one factor could be they are afraid of Trump, and decided to close shop and run.”
