Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Western Division of the city would start getting power from two more girds which are being built under Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), said Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company. These grids are being prepared in Dhar Road Green Park and Sulkakhedi near Panchkuiyan.
West Discom managing director Rajni Singh inspected these under-construction grids on Wednesday afternoon. She said that the grids should be prepared on time. These grids will provide facilities to thousands of consumers of Gumasta Nagar, Sirpur, Dhar Road, Chandan Nagar, Nageen Nagar as well as Kalani Nagar, Panchkuiyan area, Jai Bhavani Nagar etc. The cost of these grids of 5-5 MVA capacity is Rs 2.5 crore each.
Rajni Singh discussed with the officers and officials of the agency preparing the grids and instructed them to complete the work on time. Chief engineer SL Karwadiya, city superintendent engineer Manoj Sharma, executive engineer Yogesh Athnere, Ramlakhan Dhakad and other officers were present.
132 grids in the city, two more being built
Indore metropolis had 128 grids of 33/11 KV till last year. Four grids of RDSS were built in Bilawali, Super Specialty, Dewas Naka and Rasoma. Electricity supply is continuing from these. Now two grids are being prepared in Sulkakhedi near Green Park and Panchkuiyan.
