The address of the Congress headquarters has changed from today, and a program was organized at Indira Bhawan to mark the inauguration of the new office. On this occasion, Rahul Gandhi, while addressing the leaders and workers, gave a statement which gave rise to controversy. Rahul said that his fight is not only with political organizations like BJP and RSS, but also with the Indian state. He said, “If you are thinking that we are fighting political organizations like BJP and RSS, then it is wrong. Both of them have captured every institution of the country. Now we are also fighting BJP, RSS and Indian State.”
BJP is furious over this statement. Former Deputy CM of Jammu and Kashmir Kavinder Gupta said that now Congress is being marginalized and this ideology will destroy them. BJP is demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi, while Congress leaders have come out in his defence. Sachin Pilot said that Rahul Gandhi’s statement is being misrepresented and it should be seen in its entirety. He said that all the constitutional institutions have been captured by people associated with RSS, due to which justice is not being provided.
Congress General Secretary BK Hariprasad also said that there is nothing wrong in Rahul Gandhi’s statement. He said that Rahul’s comment came in the context of recruitment of Sangh people in institutions. At present, BJP is demanding Rahul Gandhi to apologize to the country. BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya wrote, “Rahul Gandhi has now declared an open war against the Indian polity. “This is taken straight from George Soros’ playbook.”
Rahul Gandhi said in his statement, “Don’t think that we are fighting a fair battle. There is no fairness in this. If you believe that we are fighting a political organization called BJP or we are fighting a political organization called RSS, then you have not understood what is happening. BJP and RSS have captured every institution of our country. Now we are not only fighting BJP and RSS, but also the ‘Indian State’.
