Amidst the investigation process of teachers appointed on the basis of fake certificates, now the report of the Monitoring Bureau will become the basis for issuing appointment letters. The teachers who came under investigation were earlier banned from giving appointment letters as special teachers. Recently, the Monitoring Bureau has given clean chit to many teachers and submitted their report to the concerned department.

Instructions to District Magistrates to establish coordination

Director of Primary Education Pankaj Kumar has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to coordinate with the monitoring bureau and obtain the list of teachers who have received clean chits.

  • Muzaffarpur:
    • Investigation into fake certificate cases of more than 400 teachers is going on in the district.
  • Statewide:
    • The total number of cases exceeds 5,000.

  • The Surveillance Investigation Bureau had registered an FIR against the teachers appointed on the basis of fake certificates.
  • On the basis of investigation, orders were given to stop the appointment letters.
  • Now the way has been cleared for giving appointment letters to the teachers who get clean chit.

Clean chit on High Court order

The Director of Primary Education informed that:

  1. Monitoring SP, Patna has reported that the final report was submitted after re-examination of certificates and FIR points of several teachers.
  2. The High Court has declared these teachers innocent.
  3. Surveillance SP has asked DEO and DPM (Establishment) to coordinate with the surveillance office and take updates regarding the investigation.

  1. Responsibility of District Education Officers:
    • Establishing contact with the monitoring bureaus in the respective districts and taking the list of teachers who have received clean chit.
    • To start the process of distribution of appointment letters to these teachers on the basis of competence.
  2. Monitoring Bureau:
    • Completing the investigation process and providing timely information about acquitted teachers to the concerned department.
