Culpable Homicide Case Registered

The Bhadrakali Police Station has registered a case of culpable homicide against the driver, vehicle owner, and steel seller responsible for the mishap. According to the complaint lodged by police constable Bharat Bole, the accident was caused by negligence in transporting the steel.

The vehicle transporting steel, owned by Ashok Kumar Durganand Yadav (41) of Chinchole Shivar, Ambad, was overloaded with iron bars by steel seller Manoj Kumar Meharchand Diman (45) of Dwarka. Additionally, the vehicle lacked essential safety measures, such as reflectors, red lights, or red cloth, to warn other road users.

This negligence led to a collision with a tempo traveling behind, resulting in the deaths of five passengers on the spot as the steel rods pierced their bodies.

The police have arrested steel seller Manoj Kumar Diman and vehicle owner Ashok Yadav, while the truck driver remains at large. The investigation is ongoing.

The other injured victims are receiving treatment at various hospitals, and efforts are underway to ensure justice for the families affected by this tragic incident.
