Delhi elections: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held his first rally in Delhi on Monday. But in this rally he attacked Arvind Kejriwal more than BJP. Also, while listing the allegations against Sheila Dikshit, Rahul Gandhi asked, ‘Aam Aadmi Party used to talk a lot on corruption, but when will it answer for the corruption that happened in Delhi. You used to say that I will clean Delhi, end corruption, build Paris, what happened to those promises?
Rahul Gandhi enumerated all the issues including pollution, inflation, on which Aam Aadmi Party does not like to talk. With this rally, Rahul Gandhi decided the election agenda of Congress. After Rahul Gandhi’s attacks, Arvind Kejriwal also responded.
Rahul Gandhi attacked Kejriwal
Rahul Gandhi said, Arvind Kejriwal talked about removing corruption. Has he ended corruption? Pollution, corruption and inflation are increasing in Delhi. When Kejriwal came, he said that he will clean Delhi, eradicate corruption, turn Delhi into Paris. But now the situation is such that there is terrible pollution. People are sick. People cannot go out. Kejriwal asked to reduce inflation. Inflation has not reduced, rather it is increasing. The Congress leader said that the government run by Sheila Dikshit when she was the Chief Minister of Delhi cannot be compared.
If our government is formed, we will conduct caste based census: Rahul Gandhi
Direct message to voters in the name of caste census: Rahul Gandhi said in Seelampur, “When I talk about caste census, not a single word comes out of the mouth of PM Modi and Arvind Kejriwal because both want backward classes, Dalits, tribals. Minorities will not get participation.” Do you ever ask him whether he is in favor of caste census or not?… I told PM Modi in Parliament that whether you do it or not, but the day our government is formed, we will increase the reservation to more than 50% and Will increase reservation on the basis of caste. The census will come in the Lok Sabha and will be passed in the Rajya Sabha. If Congress government is formed in Delhi, caste census will be conducted. Through this, Congress has given a direct message to OBC and Dalit voters.
Kejriwal’s reaction to Rahul Gandhi’s attacks
Arvind Kejriwal also responded to Rahul Gandhi’s attacks. Kejriwal wrote on X, ‘Rahul Gandhi came to Delhi today. He abused me a lot but I will not comment on his statements. Their fight is to save Congress, my fight is to save the country. Both the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party are part of the opposition alliance Bharat and contested the Lok Sabha elections together last year. However, both the parties are face to face in the assembly elections. Earlier it was believed that Congress would not directly attack Kejriwal, but now that Rahul Gandhi has opened the front, the fight will intensify.
