Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has changed the dates of 10th and 12th board exams due to REET exam 2024. According to the new schedule, now these examinations will start from March 6, 2025. Detailed time table will be released soon.
REET Exam: Major Reasons
REET exam 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on 27 February 2025, in which more than 12 lakh candidates are expected to appear. An examination of such a large scale requires seating arrangements and adequate staff. For this reason, it was not possible to conduct board examinations and REET simultaneously.
Earlier Rajasthan Board had announced:
- 12th, 12th Vocational, Senior Upadhyaya Examinations: From 20th February 2025.
- 10th, 10th Vocational, Entrance Exams: From 27 February 2025.
Now all these examinations will be conducted after REET from March 6, 2025.
Education Minister’s meeting and instructions
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Education Minister Madan Dilawar for the smooth conduct of REET and board examinations. In this, the state level high-powered examination committee reviewed the preparations for conducting the examination.
Instructions given by the Education Minister:
- Prevention of wrong paper distribution: Question papers of the correct subject should be distributed at the examination centres.
- Security of question papers: The police department should take charge of the security of the strong box.
- Basic facilities: Proper arrangements of drinking water, toilets, and electricity should be ensured at all the centres.
- Annapurna Rasoi: Quality and adequate quantity of food should be ensured in Annapurna Rasoi centers around the examination centres.
- Transparent Exam:
- Suspicious persons should be kept away from the examination process.
- There should be strict monitoring to avoid disruption at examination centres.

Strict guidelines have been given to make the conduct of REET exam fair and transparent. Prior information and instructions will be given to keep the admission system smooth at the examination centres.
