The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced its squad for the upcoming 5-match T20 series against England on Saturday, January 11. This team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav, in which a total of 15 players have been given place. Out of these 15 players, 10 players have been part of the previous T20 series.

India played its last T20 series on the South Africa tour, where the team registered a resounding 3-1 win. In this T20 series against England, players like Mohammed Shami and Nitish Kumar Reddy have returned, due to which 5 players had to be dropped from the team.

Let us take a look at those players who have joined the team and those who have been dropped. Mohammed Shami, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Dhruv Jurel and Harshit Rana have got a place in the team for the T20 series against England. Due to this change, Jitesh Sharma, Ramandeep Singh, Vijaykumar Vaish, Avesh Khan and Yash Dayal have been dropped.

Out of these 5 players, only two, Avesh Khan and Ramandeep Singh, got a chance to play on the South Africa tour. Avesh Khan took one wicket in two matches, while Ramandeep Singh scored 15 runs in 6 balls in one match. On the other hand, Jitesh Sharma, Vijaykumar Vaish and Yash Dayal did not get any chance.

Now it will be interesting to see how the performance of Mohammed Shami, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Dhruv Jurel and Harshit Rana who have been included in the T20 squad against England.
