Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who currently has her hands full with multiple projects, ended up suffering a serious leg injury a few days ago during a gym session. On Saturday, Rashmika took to her social media to finally break silence on the injury and while at it, she also apologised to the makers of her films for causing a significant delay.

Rashmika took to her Instagram handle on Saturday night to share some photos of herself with her injured leg, and thanked fans for their concern. “Well… happy New Year to me I guess! Injured myself in my sacred gym shrine…Now I’m in ‘hop mode’ for the next few weeks or months or god only knows, so seems like I’ll be hopping my way back to sets for Thama, Sikandar, and Kubera! (sic),” she wrote.

She went on to say, “To my directors sorry for the delay…I’ll be back soon enough just making sure my legs are fit for action (or at least fit for hopping). In the meantime if you need me…I’ll be the one in the corner doing a highly advanced bunny hop workout. HOP HOP HOP…(sic).”

As soon as she shared the note, fans wished her a speedy recovery and flooded the post with ‘get well soon’ messages.

On the work front, Rashmika will be next seen in Salman Khan’s Sikander, which is set to release this year on the occasion of Eid. The film marks the actress’ first collaboration with the superstar.

Speaking about her role, Rashmika had said that Sikander is the first film in which she will be seen playing an out-and-out desi heroine.

Rashmika is also busy with the shoot of Thama, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana. The film, which is a part of Maddock’s horror comedy universe, is set to show Ayushmann as a heartbroken vampire.

In Kubera, Rashmika will share the screen with Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh and others. While the film was initially supposed to release in December 2024, it has now been pushed to new date that is yet to be announced.
