Indian Railways is moving rapidly towards realizing its long-awaited rail project to connect Kashmir Valley with other parts of the country. On Saturday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared a video on social media of the Vande Bharat Express, which will operate between Jammu and Kashmir.

According to railway officials, the Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express has been designed keeping in mind the difficult weather of the Kashmir Valley. “Anti-freezing” features have been included in this train, making it different from other Vande Bharat trains running in the country.

Smooth operation even in cold

Officials said that this train is capable of running smoothly even in temperatures up to -20°C. It has been fitted with an advanced heating system for the comfort of passengers and driver. The driver’s cabin is equipped with a heated windshield, which prevents fogging or freezing in cold weather and ensures clear visibility.

special facilities

Heating elements have been installed in the pipelines and bio-toilets in the train, so that water freezing can be avoided during cold weather. This technology ensures that all the essential systems of the train function smoothly in all weather conditions.
