Actor Tiku Talsania attended the screening of television actress Rashami Desai’s Gujarati film Mom Tane Nai Samjay in Mumbai on Friday, after which he suffered a brain stroke. The 70-year-old actor is currently admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Rashami has now shared a health update on actor Tiku Talsania and opened up about her experience of meeting him.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Rashami said that after Tiku met her at the screening, he complained to one of the attendees that he was not feeling well and was experiencing pain. “Following that discomfort, he was rushed to the hospital. It happened 15 minutes after I met him,” said Rashami.
The actress said that Tiku was doing fine when she met him. “He’s a great talent and a wonderful human being. I’m really glad that people are praying for his speedy recovery.”
Though Rashami has not yet contacted Talsania’s family, she expressed her confidence that the actor is doing better. She stated, “I have not messaged him at the moment because I don’t think this is the right time to trouble the family”.
“My meeting was good. When I met him, he was absolutely fine. And to assure his fans and well-wishes, he is in a better space surrounded by his loved ones. He is under observation at the moment,” Rashami added.
Meanwhile, earlier reports had suggested that Tiku had suffered a heart attack. However, his wife denied these claims, clarifying that it was, in fact, a brain stroke. According to a report in NDTV, Deepti said, “He suffered a brain stroke, not a heart attack. He had gone to attend a film screening and started feeling unwell around 8 pm. He was immediately admitted to the hospital.”
On the work front, Tiku was last seen in Raaj Shaandilyaa’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri in the lead.
