With the help of goals from star players Jude Bellingham and Rodrigo, Real Madrid easily defeated Mallorca 3-0 in the second semi-final and entered the final of the Spanish Super Cup football championship. They will face traditional rival Barcelona in the final.
Bellingham scored in the 63rd minute to put the team ahead 1-0. In the 92nd minute of extra time, Madrid went ahead 2–0 with an own goal by Márquera Valiente. Rodriguez made the match one-sided by scoring a goal in the 95th minute. There were some tense situations at the beginning of the match. Lucas Vanquez and Rodrigo came close to scoring in the opening minutes but VAR stopped them. Kylian Mbappe signaled for a penalty after a collision with Dani Rodriguez but the referee ignored it. Madrid’s dominance forced Malarco to play a defensive game. Madrid’s Aurelien Chaument had to leave the field with a head injury after a collision with Mallorca’s Cleon Larin.
