77 km long road, further accelerating the pace of development in Madhya Pradesh Eastern Ring Road The construction plan is being finalized. This project will be completed with a budget of Rs 4000 crore and land of many villages will be acquired for this. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari Has instructed the state government to work expeditiously on this project.
Eastern Ring Road: Importance of the project
The Eastern Ring Road will provide better connectivity to Indore and its surrounding areas.
- Length and Cost: This 77 km long ring road will cost Rs 4000 crore.
- Land acquisition: Land of many villages will be acquired for the project.
- Improvement of traffic: This ring road will reduce traffic in Indore and provide better connectivity to other highways.
Gadkari inspected the project
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari by helicopter Indore-Khandwa Road And inspected the surrounding construction works.
- Narmada Bridge:
- 60% work of the bridge has been completed.
- Parking facility will be provided to the people on this 1.2 km long bridge so that they can have darshan of Mother Narmada.
- There will also be footpaths on this 6 lane bridge.
- Tunnels and Ghats:
- Bigram Tunnel: 480 meters long.
- Choral Ghat: 550 meters.
- Bheru Ghat: 576 metres.
- Gadkari directed to complete these projects expeditiously.
Appeal to government to acquire land
Gadkari has state government Demanded for speedy acquisition of land for Ring Road and new Western Bypass.
- Major Projects:
- MR-10 Junction.
- Bridges being built on Arjun Baraud and Ralamandal.
- Construction of Rasalpur 6 lane flyover at Dewas Junction.
Indore-Harda Highway and other works
The progress of Indore-Harda Highway and other major routes was also reviewed.
- Beautification and asphalting:
- From Mangalia to Rau in length of 32 km.
- Permission was given to enlarge small gardens.
- Highway Extension:
- Between Dakachaya and Pithampur new western bypass Proposed.

Gadkari praised the beautification and attractive lighting of Narmada Bridge.
- Parking on the bridge:
- NHAI will create parking on both sides.
- People will be able to park their cars and have darshan of Mother Narmada from the footpath.
