Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Bhartiya Janta Party has expelled Indore corporator Jiterndra Yadav (Jitu Yadav) from the party on Saturday, citing indiscipline.

Taking strict action against Yadav over a dispute with another corporator, Kamlesh Kalra, BJP MLA and state general secretary, Bhagwan Das Sabnani issued a letter on Saturday. The letter stated that BJP State Chief VD Sharma decided to expel Yadav from the primary membership of the party for six years as he has ‘tarnished’ the party’s image.

The letter comes shortly after corporator Jeetu Yadav resigned from the position of member of Mayor-in-Council (MiC).

The letter reads,

“The dispute between Shri Jitendra Kumar (Jitu Yadav), Corporator of Ward No. 24 of Indore Municipal Corporation, and the indecent act that followed has tarnished the party’s image, which comes under the ambit of indiscipline. Hence, the BJP State President, Hon. Vishnudutt Sharma Ji, has decided to expel the corporator of Ward No. 24, Shri Jitendra Kumar (Jitu Yadav), from the primary membership of the party for 6 years.”

Yadav pays heavy price for ‘Sangathan Chulhe Mein Gaya.’

The stern action came after a phone call conversation between Jeetu Yadav and Kamlesh Kalra went viral on social media. When Kalra tried to calm down angry Yadav during the conversation, saying, “Bhaiya, hum dono ek hi sangathan ke hain, (Brother, we belong to the same party)”; Yadav hit out, “Sangathan gaya chulhe mei” (Do hell with the party).
