Nitish Kumar, born on March 1, 1951 is the 22nd chief minister of Bihar since 22 February 2015, having previously held the office from 2005 to 2014 and for a short period in 2000. He is Bihar’s longest serving chief minister whilst also holding the post for his 9th term. He is known for switching alliances from BJP/NDA to RJD since the year 2015.
Though, I have the birth details of Nitish Kumar, its authenticity is not certain. He was as stated above born on March 1, 1951 at 1.20 pm at Bhaktiyarpur, Bihar. The chart is given below and the predictions though given based on the available birth details, I have relied more based on the monthly New Moon charts for the state of Bihar using the natal chart, navamsa, dasamsa and shastiyanmsa charts.
The New Moon charts are used by mundane astrologers to predict various events happening in the state which also includes the change in the government. Usually, the New Moon chart of Chaitra Shukla pratipada are used to decipher the events for the full year. However, I have used the monthly New Moon charts along with various others divisional charts.
In the case of Nitish Kumar, the Asc rising is Gemini and the dasa running is Rahu/Venus from May 31, 2023 to May 31, 2026. On January 28, 2024 he resigned as CM severing alliance from INDIA alliance and joined with NDA. Though Venus is exalted in D1 chart and also in its own house in D9 in Libra, its conjunction with Mars is not good as Mars is the lord of 6th house of disputes and breaks. On January 28, 2024, the transit Mars was in the sign Sagittarius throwing its aspect fourth aspect on natal Venus in Pisces explaining his resignation. Also, the transit Venus and Mars were in conjunction in Sagittarius.
Now, looking at the future development based on his chart, his dasa in operation is of Rahu/Venus. The next Bihar assembly elections is due in the months of October/November 2025. During this period, the dasa will be the same as stated above. Looking at the future transits of Rahu and Mars, in the months of June 2025 to September 2025, he is likely to severe relationship with NDA and join back with INDIA alliance.
In the above months, Nitish Kumar will end up severing relationship with NDA due to the state assembly elections not being fought under his name. Another scenario that emerges is that his party JDU will not fare well in the state assembly elections due in Oct/Nov 2025. Due to under performance of his party in the state assembly elections, he will sever relationship with NDA in January/February 2026 and join back with INDIA alliance.

In the absence of authentic birth charts of political leaders who is the CM of the State, the New Moon charts have given 90% accurate results. I have analysed all the monthly charts from date of this article up till the end of the year 2025. Based on the monthly New Moon charts of the same periods between June 2025 to November 2025, the months of June to August 2025 is more likely for him to severe the alliance from NDA and join INDIA alliance. Now, the next question is will he head the INDIA alliance after he joins them? The answer to this is, he will not be made the head of INDIA alliance.
