A sudden drop in temperature has been recorded in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar over the past two days. The minimum temperature recorded in the city on January 9 was 10 degrees Celsius. People are shivering as cold and chilly winds have gripped the entire city and surrounding areas, even during the afternoons.
Severe cold winds from the north are passing rapidly through the Marathwada region. As a result, there has been a sudden drop in temperature. Around 10 days ago, the city experienced a moderate climate and people had relief from the cold. However, the chilly weather has started gripping the city once again. This winter, the lowest minimum temperature was recorded on December 19 at 9.7 degrees Celsius. On January 8, the minimum temperature was 10.3 degrees Celsius, and on January 9, it dropped to 10 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the meteorological department has predicted that there would be a sudden change in wind flow and the temperature may increase. However, if the speed of the ultra-cold winds blowing from the north increases, there may be a further drop in temperature.
People are advised to take measures to protect themselves from the cold. City clinics and hospitals are filled with patients, especially children complaining of cold, cough and fever. People have taken out warm clothes from their cupboards, and gathering around bonfires in the evening has become a common sight in the city.
