Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): A man and his nephew were crushed to death after their speeding car rammed into a roadside pole on Bhind-Etawah National Highway late on Thursday night.
Four other people in the car sustained severe injuries. All six were returning from a dhaba at 1am when the accident happened.
The accident was captured on CCTV cameras, showing the car traveling at a speed exceeding a velocity of 150 km/h.
According to information, the deceased were identified as Akash Jatav, a resident of Betul, and his uncle Narendra Jatav. Akash had come to Bhind to attend a function at his uncle’s home.
Later in the evening, Akash, along with his uncle Narendra and four others, went to a roadside eatery for dinner. While returning around 1 am, their car crashed into a pole near Bharauli Tihari due to high speed and heavy fog. The car then hit a nearby hoarding.
Truck drivers informed police
After the accident, the truck drivers passing by informed the police through Dial 100 about the accident.
As Akash Jatav and his uncle Narendra Jatav were sitting in the front, they died on the spot unfortunately. The four passengers in the backseat, including Pancham Singh Jatav, Jitendra Singh, and two others, were seriously injured.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem, and the victims’ families were informed. The injured were rushed to the district hospital and later referred to Gwalior for further treatment. The police are investigating the case at present.
