Today, on January 10, i.e. the last trading day of the week, the Sensex is trading at 77,870 with a gain of more than 250 points. Nifty is also trading 50 points up at 23,580.

Sensex up 150 points, Nifty at 23550

The market has started with a boom. The Sensex was trading at 77,835.49, up 215.28 points or 0.28 per cent. While Nifty was trading at 23,566.90 with a gain of 53.25 points or 0.17 percent.

Market started flat in pre-opening

Flat movement of the market is being seen in pre-opening. The Sensex was trading at 77,628.69, up 8.48 points or 0.01 percent. Whereas Nifty was trading at 23,548.25 with a gain of 21.75 points or 0.09 percent.

Mixed business for Asian markets

In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.49% and Korea’s Kospi rose 0.11%. At the same time, China’s Shanghai Composite Index is trading down 0.41%. According to NSE data, on January 9, foreign investors (FIIs) invested Rs. Shares worth Rs 7,170.87 crore were sold. During this period, domestic investors (DII) invested Rs. Shares worth Rs 7,639.63 crore were purchased.

US stock markets were closed on January 9 to mourn the death of former President Jimmy Carter.
