Veteran actress Neena Gupta sparked a controversy after she was seen putting out a rather shocking comment under Anupam Kher’s heartfelt post for late journalist-turned-filmmaker Pritish Nandy, who passed away on January 8. The actress commented “No RIP” and lashed out at the late producer for the infamous incident related to the birth of Neena’s daughter, Masaba Gupta.
Kher penned an emotional note on Instagram on Thursday, mourning the loss of Nandy, and calling him a unique and brave journalist. “He was also one of the most fearless people I had come across. Always Larger than life. I learnt so many things from him,” a part of his note read.
While netizens extended their condolences under the post, it was Neena Gupta’s comment that grabbed eyeballs. The actress seems to have not forgotten and forgiven Nandy till date for leaking Masaba’s birth certificate in public, due to which she was labelled as the “love child” in the nation.
“Do you know what he did to me, and I called him a ba***rd openly. He stole my baby’s birth certificate and published it. So no RIP, you understand, and I have proof of it,” Neena commented under Kher’s post.
However, the comment was later deleted either by Neena herself or by Kher.
