In the cold winter, eating pakodas with hot tea is a different pleasure. But pakodas fried in oil are not good for health, especially for those who are suffering from obesity or cholesterol problems. But don’t worry! We are going to tell you some great tips and tricks, with the help of which you can make crunchy and delicious pakodas even without oil.

1. Use non-stick tawa or pan

To make pakodas without oil, use non-stick pan or tawa. Prepare the pakoda batter as usual, but keep it thick. Heat the pan and apply a little oil in it. Then, pour a little bit of the batter into the pan and cook it from all sides. With this method you can easily make crispy pakodas without oil.

2. Use appam maker

Using appam maker is also a great way. The batter of pakodas should neither be too thick nor thin. Apply some oil or ghee in the molds of appam maker and pour the batter in it. Steam it for about 10 minutes. When the pakodas start browning from one side, turn them and cook the other side for 10 minutes. In this way your healthy pakodas will be prepared.

3. Make pakodas in boiling water

Have you ever made pakodas in boiling water? This may sound strange, but it is a healthy option. Prepare a thick batter for the pakodas and if you are using onions or potatoes, chop them finely. Boil water in a big vessel and when the water starts boiling, add the pakodas one by one. Let the pakodas sink and when their color starts changing, then understand that your oil-free pakodas are ready.

With these simple methods, you can make crunchy pakodas without oil in winters and enjoy their taste!
