Bengaluru: The Silicon Valley of India is set to experience cooler temperatures in the upcoming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted temperatures to drop from 10°C to 12°C in the next three to four days.

The city is expected to have cool weather and foggy mornings as the minimum temperature is likely to drop to 17°C. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 27°C. According to the IMD, January is the coldest month of the winter season, during which the average minimum temperature is around 16°C. The city witnessed the sunrise at 6:45 am and is expected to set at 6:10 pm on Friday, January 10, 2025.

The humidity level is expected to range around 58 per cent. Today, the wind is expected to blow steadily from the East at a speed of 18 km/h, and the Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to stand at 147, which indicates moderate air quality in the city and its adjoining areas.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature is likely to be 2°C to 4°C below normal in numerous regions of southern interior districts, including Chikkamagluru, Hassan, Bengaluru Rural, and Bengaluru Urban. According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), Dry air is likely to prevail over the state, and moderate and dense fog is likely to occur in North Interior Karnataka.
