Western Railway has announced a significant upgrade for Train No. 12909/12910 Bandra Terminus–Hazrat Nizamuddin Garib Rath Express, replacing its conventional rake with a modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) rake. This change aims to provide passengers with a safer and more comfortable travel experience.
As per the statement issued by state Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the upgraded train now run consists of 19 AC 3-Tier Economy coaches with improved interiors and better safety features. The LHB rakes come equipped with anti-climbing couplers, an efficient braking system, and fire-retardant materials to ensure high safety standards.
The new design enhances passenger comfort with more spacious seating arrangements and eliminates side middle berths. Additionally, the upgraded rake features more comfortable berths and spacious toilets, improving the overall travel experience.
Capable of speeds up to 160 kmph, the LHB rake also promises reduced travel time. Shri Vineet emphasized that this transition aligns with Western Railway’s commitment to enhancing passenger satisfaction and safety.
Passengers can now look forward to a smoother and more enjoyable journey on the Garib Rath Express.
