The tournament features 24 boys’ and 24 girls’ teams from across the country. Maharashtra also outclassed Manipur 36-19 in the girls category. Maharashtra clinched another win in the girls category, defeating Karnataka, 33-22.

The 8th MMA India Junior and Senior Amateur National Championship roared to life at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, with an electrifying first day that set the tone for an action-packed tournament.
Hosted at the iconic Hotel JMD Palace, the first day of the championship witnessed 30 thrilling bouts in the 65.8 kg weight category across Junior Amateur (18-21 years) and Senior Amateur (21+ years) divisions. With over 450 fighters and 50 coaches from powerhouse MMA states like Haryana, Maharashtra, Mizoram, and Uttar Pradesh, the level of competition was nothing short of world-class.
Athletes left it all in the cage, displaying grit, power, and technique as the crowd cheered every jab, takedown, and submission attempt. Fighters from Meghalaya brought flair, Kerala impressed with agility, and Himachal Pradesh stunned with raw power. This is where future champions are forged.
The next three days promise to be nothing short of spectacular. The second day will see the intensity rise as Cage 1 and Cage 2 host a whopping 133 matches (59 in Cage 1 and 74 in Cage 2). Each bout is expected to last around 11 minutes, ensuring an adrenaline-filled marathon for MMA fans.
