Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The first draft of Madhya Pradesh @2047 vision document has taken shape, incorporating suggestions from key departments on how to increase farmers’ income, enhance GDP, create a web of industrial zones and give impetus to the state’s economy.
On Monday, chief secretary Anurag Jain will review the draft proposal of the vision document. The Rajya Niti Ayog, which is at the helm of affairs in this exercise, is coordinating with all departments and seeking their views. In the initial stage, eight working groups have been formed and their suggestions incorporated in the draft proposal.
These eight working groups are: industry, agriculture, good governance and civil supplies, urban development, education, financial planning, health and infrastructure. The Rajya Niti Ayog has also written letters to district collectors to take suggestions from elected representatives and common people about what kind of vision document they want for their state.
It wants to take suggestions from schoolchildren in this regard too. Soon, an online citizen survey will also be conducted to seek suggestions on the vision document.
Certification of agriculture produce
During the discussion on preparation of the first draft of vision document 2047, it came to the fore that to boost farmers’ income, certification of agriculture produce was required so that it could be exported to other countries.
Hence, the certification process will be strengthened. Farmers also need to be inspired for natural and organic farming. The draft proposes establishing industrial zones across the state in a balanced manner and stresses on developing skilled manpower.
MP may be second state to come up with document
Gujarat is the first state to prepare its vision document on the lines of Viksit Bharat 2047 conceptualized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Madhya Pradesh will be the second state in the country to come up with its vision document if it is prepared timely.
