Sunita Ahuja and Govinda: Govinda married Sunita Ahuja in 1987. Sunita often talks about her first meeting with Govinda and her first impression. In an old interview, Sunita had told how she came to know about Govinda because of her brother-in-law.
Sunita Ahuja said on the show ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’, ‘My brother-in-law said that Govinda beats women. He doesn’t talk to women. Govinda had killed two girls in the college. He hit one with an umbrella and threw hot milk on the other’s face.’ So I was wondering who is this guy who doesn’t talk to girls. I told my brother-in-law to call him, I will talk to him.
This is how Govinda and Sunita met. Soon both of them got married. At the time of marriage, Sunita was 18 years old and Govinda had completed his studies. He was not a big name in the industry. Recently Sunita Ahuja said that ‘Govinda and I live in separate houses. I live with my children in the flat opposite to Govinda’s bungalow.
