Cook said the accident happened in front of a crowd of vacationers, including families with children vacationing on the island. State Police Commissioner Colonel Blanch said officials have started investigating the cause of the accident. The aircraft, owned by Swan River Seaplanes, was returning to its base in Perth, the capital of Western Australia.
