A tourist in Gurugram was stunned to come across a fake note in his wallet which pretty well resembled an original one. Believed to be foreign to currency note, he didn’t quite understand it was different from the other Rs. 500 notes he carried. The man took to Reddit to reveal how he ended up looking like an “idiot” when he tried to pay his Uber driver with this cash issued by the ‘Manoranjan Bank Of India’.
Taking to Reddit, the tourist shared the experience of finding the disguised fake note in his wallet. He posted images of two currency notes, both of Rs. 500 denominations on the online platform. At the first glance, it was hard to spot the difference between the two notes, but a close look at them made netizens aware that one of them was hilariously fake.

Tourist gives Uber driver fake Rs. 500 note
Before we tell you how the two notes were different and what features highlighted the fakeness, here’s how the incident came out.
It was when this tourist opened his wallet and presented this money to his Uber driver that he understood something was wrong. The Uber driver created some noise on seeing his passenger pay him in fake and unacceptable cash. As the tourist wasn’t familiar with the note, it couldn’t figure out the currency he carried was counterfeit.

“I tried to pay my uber without noticing the toy money”, he wrote in his Reddit post. “Suddenly I’m getting yelled at by an upset driver…He was trying to say “Fake! Fake!” In my confusion and with his anger and accent, it sounded like he was cursing me out”, the tourist stated.
The counterfeit note which claimed to be printed at an unreal establishment called the ‘Manoranjan Bank of India’ stood out from the real one on several aspects. This Rs. 500 currency wasn’t guaranteed by the Central Government and rather by ‘Children bank’, suggesting it to be a toy thing. The words inscribed on the note read “Churan Label” and “Full of Fun”, leaving netizens in a dose of laughter.
