Adelaide Strikers opener Chris Lynn continued to display his fireworks with the bat against Hobart Hurricanes match in a Big Bash league match on Sunday. However during his knock of 49 runs, Lynn was hit on the helmet by Hurricanes pacer Riley Meredith. The match between both teams was being played at Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
On the final ball of the first over, Riley Meredith bowled a sharp short delivery at high pace. Lynn attempted to duck but was hit on the helmet. Concerned, all the Hobart Hurricanes players quickly gathered around to check on him.
Lynn appeared shaken and was down on the ground. Thankfully, the physio rushed to his aid, and after undergoing the mandatory checks, he was given the all-clear to continue batting despite the serious blow.

Riding on Chris Lynn’s (49 runs) and skipper Alex Ross’s (47 runs) innings Strikers managed to post competitive 186/5 on board. Chasing 187 runs for victory, Hobart Hurricanes lost 4 wickets for 101 runs. Coming in at number 6 when the target seemed distant, he turned the game around, making the challenging total look easy.
Although he started cautiously, David unleashed his power within seven balls, smashing four sixes and putting the Adelaide bowlers under immense pressure. David along with Nikhil Chaudhary then stitched 75 runs partnership. David played one of the finest innings of the tournament, scoring a blistering 22-ball fifty.
David reached the milestone with a massive six off Lloyd Pope. The spinner delivered a short ball, which David pulled over deep square leg into the stands. The right hander remained unbeaten on 62 off 28 balls, which including 3 fours and 6 sixes. His explosive innings ensured that the Hurricanes chased down the target with five wickets to spare.
