Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is all set to romance Khushi Kapoor in Advait Chandan’s next, Loveyapa. Recently, he revealed that he was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of 6 or 7 and that his parents, Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta, discovered his condition when they read the script of Taare Zameen Par, which starred Aamir and Darsheel Safary.
Speaking to Vickey Lalwani on his YouTube channel, Junaid said, “She (Reena Dutta) was not particular about my studies. Neither of my parents were particular.”
When asked if Junaid’s condition inspired the film, he shared, “When Papa and Maa heard the script of Taare Zameen Par, they were like, ‘Ek second! We’ve seen this in our lives.'”
Further, Junaid recalled that his parents took him to a specialist, and it was then that he was diagnosed with dyslexia. He added, “I was lucky. It didn’t affect me much while growing up.”
The actor stated that Aamir and Reena did not pressure him to perform well academically, instead they encouraged him to do his best. “Mom and Dad were like, ‘Make sure you do your best.'”
On the work front, Junaid’s, Loveyapa features ensemble cast with Radhika Sarathkumar, Sathyaraj, Yogi Babu, Eijaz Khan, Raveena Ravi, Adnan Siddiqui, and Swati Verma, among others.
On Friday, the makers released the song first, instead of releasing any teaser or trailer to create buzz.
Loveyapa marks Khushi and Junaid’s second film together, following their acting debuts in The Archies and Maharaj, respectively, both of which premiered on Netflix.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 7th February, 2025.
