Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The central government has appointed MP cadre IAS officer Akash Tripathi as Additional Secretary in the Energy Department. Along with him, another Principal Secretary level IAS officer Faiz Ahmed Kidwai has also been given a new responsibility at the Centre.

The Central Personnel and Training Ministry has approved the return of IAS officer Ruhi Khan to Bhopal due to some personal reasons. She is currently posted in the Health Department in Delhi.

Notably, 1998 batch IAS officer Akash Tripathi served as Indore Collector in MP as well as Deputy Secretary and Secretary in various departments. He has been working as the CEO of MyGov in the Ministry of Electronics and Communication, Government of India since October 2022.

The government has written a letter to the central government and requested to send Akash Tripathi back to MP. It is speculated that he would return this month. Moreover, the Union Ministry of Personnel and Training issued orders for the new posting of five IAS officers on Friday.

MP cadre Principal Secretary level IAS officer Faiz Ahmed Kidwai has offered position of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Currently, he is working as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

On the other hand, 2013 batch IAS officer Ruhi Khan, who was promoted to the IAS post from the State Administrative Service, is going to return to MP before the end of her deputation period at the Center due to her personal reasons.

The Union Ministry of Personnel and Training has approved her request and has given her consent to return to her parental cadre in Madhya Pradesh. She will also soon join the ministry in Bhopal. While, she is currently posted as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Delhi.
