Christmas stockings are hung on the window or the festive tree wishing Santa Claus drops some amazing gifts into it. When a woman from Lowa in the US checked her socks last month, she came across a lottery ticket. This might have not made her happy at first, but when she scratched it off to win a big prize she felt like it was her day.

She turned lucky to secure the lottery worth a stunning amount of $150,000 (1,28,67,577.50 INR). The lottery ticket she fished out from her Christmas stocking brought her more than one crore rupees.

“Santa delivered”

Announcing Taylor’s win on social media, the lottery page wrote, “Taylor Caffrey of Grimes had a Money Gift scratch ticket in her Christmas stocking this year, and won a $150,000 prize! Santa (okay, it was really her mom) bought the winning ticket at Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh, 9150 SE University Ave. in West Des Moines”.

They captioned the X post by calling the lottery result moment “Santa delivered”.

The lottery win was recorded with 25-year-old Taylor Caffrey when she collected the ticket from the stocking. It was learned that the lucky ticket was placed inside the Christmas stocking by her mother.

Taylor won the Lowa Lottery worth $150,000 prize. While accepting the prize, she told the officials her mother would usually stuff the family’s stockings with lottery tickets.

Speaking to news media outlets, the young woman how she looks forward to use the prize money. She revealed that the amount would be utilised in clearing her college debt and also buying a new home.
