West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee raised serious questions on the Center and the Border Security Force (BSF), accusing them of a conspiracy to destabilize the state. He alleged that BSF was allowing infiltrators from Bangladesh to enter the state. The Chief Minister termed the issue as a “nefarious act” of the Center and called it a conspiracy to disturb peace in the state.

  • He made it clear that the security of the border is the responsibility of the Central Government and not of his party TMC.
  • Mamata alleged, “Those accusing TMC of allowing infiltration are forgetting that it is the responsibility of BSF.”

Announcement of writing a letter to the center

  • Majumdar also said that under Mamata’s administration, DM and SP are failing to stop infiltration.

Arvind Kejriwal’s reaction

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also reacted on this issue.

“Is the central government deliberately allowing infiltration from the Bangladesh border, or is it failing to protect the border?”
  • Kejriwal also accused BJP of using the issue politically.
