On January 3, 2025, the University Grants Commission (UGC) will conduct the UGC-National Eligibility Test (NET) December Exam 2024. The UGC NET 2024 admit card is available for download on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

For (i) “award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor,” (ii) “appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.”, and (iii) “admission to Ph.D.”, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the UGC-NET in December 2024.

UGC NET 2024 test dates for 85 subjects: January 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, and 16, 2025

Exam day guidelines:

Exam date, shift, and time are specified on their admit card

Candidates must download their admit card from the NTA website and attend the exam at the designated centre.

No applicant will be permitted to show up at the exam centre on a day without their own admit card.

One passport-sized photo

A valid, original, and non-expiring photo ID

If requesting a relaxation under the PwD category, a PwD certificate is required.

Candidates must arrive at the examination centre two hours prior to the start of the test in order to finish the registration and frisking procedures in plenty of time.

Thirty minutes before the test, the registration desk will close.

They are not allowed to wear jewels or anything with elaborate pockets or embroidery.

Candidates must confirm that the computer-based question paper corresponds to the subject they selected on their admit card.

It may be brought to the attention of the relevant invigilator if the question paper’s subject is different from the one that was chosen.
