Kusal Perera has created a stir in the very first international match of the new year. He scored a stormy century in the third T20 match against New Zealand. Perera’s century is the fastest century scored by a Sri Lankan batsman in T20 Internationals. Full of pace, he scored his T20 International century in just 44 balls. Kusal Perera’s century included 13 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 219.56. The special thing is that this is the first century of Kusal Perera’s T20 International career.

Kusal Perera broke 14 years old record

Kusal Perera also broke Sri Lanka’s 14-year-old record with his fast, furious and explosive century. Actually, by scoring a T20 century in 44 balls, he could not become the number one player in the world in this matter. But, Sri Lankans have definitely progressed in cricket. He has broken Tillakaratne Dilshan’s record of fastest century in T20 International. Dilshan scored a century in 55 balls against Australia in 2011.
