Indore: Homoeopath Among 2 Held With Drugs Worth ₹5.57 L; 3 Including Woman Arrested Under PITNDPS Act | FP Photo
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Two persons, including a homoeopath, were arrested with drugs (MD drugs and cannabis) worth Rs 5.57 lakh from a city hotel, police said on Wednesday. The accused were planning to supply the drugs to the youths during the New Year parties here.
According to DCP (crime) Rajesh Tripathi, information was received that two persons would deliver the drugs to the youths during parties and they were seen in Hotel Midland Inn in the Tulsi Nagar in Nipania area.

A team of the crime branch raided the hotel and caught two men from a hotel room. The accused were identified as Yogesh Ladaiya, a resident of Bajrang Nagar and Bharat Chourasiya, a resident of Rewa. Chourasiya is the caretaker of the hotel and he was staying in a room of the hotel while Ladaiya is a BHMS doctor and he also consumes drugs. Chourasiya has been staying in the city for three years and he also worked in other hotels here.

During a search, about 30.71 grams of MD drugs and 2.47 kilograms of cannabis were recovered from their possession. The value of the drugs is Rs 5.57 lakh in the international market. Three mobile phones were also recovered from them and the crime branch officials are fetching the call details to know the role of other people in drug supply.
The accused allegedly informed the police that they had a plan to sell the drugs at a higher price to the youths on New Year Eve. The investigation is on and the information is being verified by the police.
A case has been registered against them under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act and they are being questioned for their source of the drugs. Police believed that more people would be arrested in connection with the same.
3 Including Woman Arrested Under PITNDPS Act
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Three people, including a woman, who indulged in the drug supply were arrested under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PITNDPS Act) on Wednesday.
Additional DCP (zone-4) Anand Yadav said that Rewaram of Ahirkhedi, Sangeeta of Ganesh Vihar and Sadik Khan of Pandharinath were involved in drug supply in their areas so the police registered a case against the accused under section 3 (1) of PITNDPS Act and the report was sent to the divisional commissioner for the action against the accused.
The divisional commissioner has issued a warrant to send the accused to central jail in Bhopal. The police have arrested the accused from different places in the city and they are being sent to central jail in Bhopal.
