Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): There is a cold wave alert in 14 districts of Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal, Gwalior-Jabalpur, Morena, Bhind and Datia on Thursday. The Meteorological Department predicted that there will be similar cold for the next 3 days.
Bhopal-Pune flight scheduled to take off at 3:40am on Thursday was cancelled as dense fog enveloped Madhya Pradesh capital.
There is snowing in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Ladakh, resulting in bringing cold winds to the state. However, the snow will melt in the upcoming days which will increase the effect of cold in the state. It is believed that the cold wave will continue for nearly 20 to 22 days in the month of January.

Cold wave alert
An alert of cold wave was issued in Bhopal, Gwalior-Jabalpur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Rajgarh, Sagar, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Umaria and Katni on Thursday.
Moderate to dense fog will prevail in Bhopal, Gwalior, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Sagar, Vidisha, Raisen, Rajgarh, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Agar-Malwa, Dewas, Shajapur, Sehore, Harda, Betul, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Katni, Umaria, Satna, Maihar, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi and Singrauli.
Dense fog in Bhopal & Jabalpur
The Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal witnessed dense fog on Thursday morning. The temperature was 7 degrees Celsius at 7.30 am.
Jabalpur was covered with dense fog and the visibility was very low. The minimum temperature was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees below normal.
Cold winds in Indore
There was light fog in the city on Thursday morning. Even after the sunrise, residents of Indore shivered due to strong cold winds.
