Dr. Manmohan Singh Memorial: The Government of India has given several options to the family of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to build a memorial. These options include the names of many other places, including the National Memorial Site, where his memorial is likely to be built.
The family has not taken any decision yet
According to government sources, the process of forming the trust will be completed after the family selects the memorial site. The Trust will organize the construction of the memorial and oversee all subsequent activities. The family has not decided on a specific location yet. The trust will apply for the memorial land. After allotment of land, MoU will be signed with CPWD. Only after this the work of building the memorial can begin.
Manmohan Singh passes away
Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said goodbye to the world on 26 December 2024. He breathed his last in AIIMS Hospital, Delhi. Then Congress made a demand to the Central Government regarding his memorial. According to information received from sources, one to one and a half acre land can be given for Manmohan Singh’s memorial near Rajghat, National Memorial or Kisan Ghat.
