The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) ticketing website faced a technical glitch once again on Tuesday morning, causing inconvenience to passengers trying to book tickets.
Similar disruptions had occurred last week, leading to widespread frustration among users on social media. With the New Year approaching, many passengers are rushing to book tickets for special trains to travel outstation or return home.
However, at 10:01 AM on Tuesday, the IRCTC website experienced a technical glitch, rendering ticket booking and cancellation services unavailable.
According to an official problem was resolved quickly and currently website is working. The disruption caused significant distress among passengers, who expressed their anger and disappointment over IRCTC’s repeated technical failures on social media.
Last week, the website was also down on Thursday. According to sources, massive update works are currently underway in the IRCTC ticketing system, which could be a reason for the frequent disruptions.
