Court case on Trump: There is going to be a change of power in America on January 20. Newly elected President Donald Trump will take the oath of office. But before that he has got a big blow from the Federal Appeals Court. In the sexual harassment case, Trump applied for pardon in the court, which was rejected by the court. Besides, the decision to hold Trump guilty and impose fine also remains intact. Now Trump will have to pay a fine of 5 million dollars in the case of defamation and sexual exploitation.

The matter is 30 years old

According to media reports, the court has found Trump guilty in this 1996 case. Trump has been accused of sexually assaulting a columnist in the dressing room of a high-end department store. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Manhattan jury’s verdict would not be overturned. Trump will have to pay a fine of $6 million for defaming and sexually harassing E. Jean Carroll.

Trump entered the dressing room

The victim who wrote the column testified at trial in 2023 that, ‘During a meeting in 1996, Trump entered the store’s dressing room.’ However, Trump is denying this. A jury imposed a fine of $83.3 million after testimony during a follow-up hearing earlier this year.

Apart from this 1996 incident, the court also convicted Donald Trump in a case related to porn star Stormy Daniels. On one hand, Trump is going to become the President of America for the second time on January 20, 2025, while on the other hand, his appeal is being rejected in the US Federal Court of Appeal.
