2024 will come to an end, entering the chapters of the past within the matter of some hours. This year, like many of the previous years, has had technology at the forefront of its growth story. This makes a case for a look back at Indian tech, primarily services and solutions companies listed at the Indian exchanges.

While the tech shares are trading in red as the year comes to a close with losses of over 1 per cent on the last day of trade on Tuesday, December 31, the larger picture in the year’s trade is better and gives hope and is set to give positive returns.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd

Tata Consultancy Services to TCS, one of the biggest and oldest tech companies in the country dipped on Tuesday, however, in the past year, the shares of the company increased by 6.77 per cent or Rs 258.00, taking the overall value to Rs 4,069.10 per share.

Infosys Ltd

Investors of Bengaluru-based Infosys however experienced a better surge in the prospects than TCS. As the year came to a close, the shares of the company surged by 20.99 per cent or Rs 325.65, in the past year.

This has taken the overall value of Infoys shares to Rs 1,877.00 per share.

Wipro Ltd

Wipro shares were also trading in red on the last day of 2024.

However, the shares of this Bengaluru-based company saw a major hike of 25.58 per cent or Rs 61.02 over the past year, taking the overall value of Rs 299.60 per share.

HCL Technologies Ltd

Gurugram-based HCL Tech also saw its shares surge over the past year, bringing positive returns to investors, as the year comes to a close.

HCL tech shares surged by 28.83 per cent or Rs 427.80. This has taken the overall value of each individual shares to Rs 1,911.55.

Tech Mahindra Ltd

The Mahindra group-owned Tech Mahindra saw a major decline in its shares prices on Friday. However, the overall value of the company shares has only risen in the past year.

Tech Mahindra shares increased by a monumental 30.59 per cent or Rs 396.80, taking the overall of Tech Mahindra shares to Rs 1,693.95 per piece.
