One of the most talked about and popular shows of TV, Anupama remains in the headlines due to its powerful story as well as the activities happening on the sets. Recently, the news of Alisha Parveen being ousted from the show created a stir among the audience and the industry. Now the show’s maker Rajan Shahi has broken his silence on this entire matter.
“No one is bigger than the show”: Rajan Shahi
Rajan Shahi clearly said in an interview,
“There is no one bigger than the show.”
He also said that indiscipline on the set will not be tolerated. If this happens, they will have no hesitation in throwing the actors out of the show.
Rajan Shahi’s clear opinion on podcast
Rajan Shahi, while speaking recently on the podcast ‘The Ashok Pandit Show’, said:
- “The makers invest a lot in the show.”
- It is very important to maintain discipline and professionalism on the set.
- He said that if anyone violates this rule, he will not hesitate to remove such actors.
Strict approach to discipline: Example of Pratiksha Honmukhe and Shahzada Dhami
This is not the first time that Rajan Shahi has thrown an actor out of the show.
- As the producer of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, he also ousted two lead actors from the show.
- This step was taken considering the behavior of these actors with hair dressers, spot boys and associate directors on the set as inappropriate.
Alisha Parveen’s case
Alisha Parveen, who played the character of Adhya (Raahi) in the show, was thrown out of the show within three months.
- Rajan Shahi refused to talk more openly on this matter.
- He said, “This is a matter of dignity and respect of the actress, so I will not comment on it at the moment.”
- However, he clarified that the broadcasters have given him complete freedom to take such decisions.
Alisha’s allegation
Alisha, who has been working on the show since October 2024, said:
- “I was suddenly removed from the show without any notice.”
- He said that no information about this decision was given in advance.
