New Delhi: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website is reportedly down on Tuesday. This is the third outage in a month causing inconvenience to people who are dependent on the site to book railway tickets online.

The outage was reported at the time when the users were trying to book tatkal/premium tatkal tickets for AC class. Notably, the tatkal booking for AC class starts at 10 am a day before the departure of the train.

“Booking and cancellation for all site will not be available for next hour,” the error message on the site read. Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted,” the error message on the website read.

X users took to the social media platform to complain about the IRCTC outage. One of the X users wrote, “How can IRCTC website go down during tatkal timings???Why are we even bothering about building a bullet train when we can’t even build a fucking website??”

“. @IRCTCofficial It is insensitive of you. The site and App are down. People are not able to login. Yet, no official Tweet to keep users informed,” another user wrote.

“#IRCTC is down for everyone but still seats will be booked when it will get back,” an X useer wrote.

It is the third outage that IRCTC has faced. The website and mobile app were down for 1.5 hours due to “maintenance activity” on December 26.
